|
|
I have recently implemented a new system at VDSWORLD, which allows
users of the site to rate files and comment on the file listings. We are hoping
this will make VDSWORLD more useful in the file listing aspect.
If you have any feedback, please reply to this announcement topic. Also
please remember that other feedback or suggestions are always welcomed.
Please visit www.vdsworld.com to see the changes. _________________ FreezingFire

What do you mean? There aren't any files to rate in the forum...
In the next version of the forum there will be a user rating, but there
were no plans of adding anything to the forum.
If you explain we might be able to do something for you though.

I was talking about user difficulty rating of scripts/units etc as I earlier said. I know i takes time till the newer version of the BB is setup.
BTW file ratings in http://www.vdsworld.com/ is a nice feature. _________________ Regards

The new version of the forum is not even in beta stage, it's mostly alpha
code right now. If you want to have a look go to http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB22/
We might look into doing a ratings system for the scripts, but that would
be pretty hard because the forum has a lot of different parts.

I've updated the comments system to only show the "View Comments"
link next to files that actually have comments listed for them. _________________ FreezingFire

You'll also see that on the index page of VDSWORLD we have added next
to the "recent files" list an indicator of the file's ratings. If the file has more
ratings up, then a "+" sign will be displayed. If the ratings are equal, a "="
sign will be displayed, if the file has more ratings down, a "–" sign will be
displayed. _________________ FreezingFire

I was a little confused. I thought by clicking on the thumbs up or down link you could see what comments users had left. I was trying to check out VDSZIP.DLL, but it recorded my click as a thumbs down vote. I didn't intend to vote up or down. Just figured I would report it. _________________ Joe Floyd |

Hi jwfv,
Thanks for your report. I checked into this and someone else must
have rated it down at approximately the same time as you clicked
the link. Also I checked the code and it shows no errors. This was
the only possibility. So no problem, but thanks again for your report. _________________ FreezingFire
