Why doesn't vds support (or recognize) the commands/function that are defined in a compiled and included dsu?

When you include a dsu, close vds, and open the .dsp file with notepad, you can see that they are listed as 'defined commands or functions', but why does the debugger says that they are invalid Confused

That's because the #define command should be called before the function or command is used, which doesn't happen with a DSU file (which is compiled below the 'normal' script).

Actually it should work as long as the DSU is included before the commands are used. I just recompiled all the demos in the TCP/IP Suite using the latest (unreleased) version of the IDE and all the commands defined in the DSU were detected and added to the DSP file.

Then possibly one of the bug fixes that are in the latest version have fixed this problem as well. I thought I'd noticed a problem with DSUs myself a while ago, but it seems to be working okay now.

Hi Vic

http://forum.vdsworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=1948

The above may help you.
If not add a REM and statement as the first line of your DSU code.
