Hey CodeScript!

Thanks for the input. Just checked your code sample - strangely it performs just as expected here,
but there must be a glitch somewhere so I'll review the DLL code.

Right, I have reviewed the code and restructured things a bit. CodeScript could you please download and try again?

I didn't have the problem earlier so I really cannot tell whether it's fixed now Wink

Maybe not, but since don't really know how the DLL works, I thought that
perhaps its was a conflict with such things as decimal separators. This
kind of thing causes conflicts in a lot of programs.

Bug should be fixed now.

Beta 2 is out - beta testers can get it the same location as last time.

Includes a couple of bug fixes and a handful of new functions.

Beta 3 (last one, I guess) is ready for download. Same location.

A dozen new functions. Bug fixes.

Please observe that the included test script does not cover some of the newly added stuff.

Right! String.dll has gone public. Can be found at the vdsworld frontpage and directly linked:
http://www.vdsworld.com/index.php?page=download&fileid=363

The DLL is free, so it's yours for the taking.

String.DLL is a string processing DLL for VDS 3.x and up.

Adds computer LOCALE awareness to VDS for handling national characters and other extended characters correctly.

Establishes a wide range of long need string functions in VDS, for example:
- Lastpos
- Case change
- Replace/delete
- Win/DOS text conversion
- Padding/trimming
- Character type evaluation
- Word in string handling
- Extraction functions
- URL encode/decode
- Strip HTML
- Translate - multiple single character translation in one pass

and quite a few more things.
