I am working along on another DLL incorporating a MAPI interface for VDS. Works fine on my XP, 2K, 98, and ME boxes.
However, it's a no-go on Mac's famous 95 box Confused

Given Mac's problems, I wonder if someone else here would give it a test spin?? Drop me a PM or something.

The DLL allows VDS to pass mail along to the user's normal email program with these fields:

Man, I've been busy.. but now I have a bit of time again for this.

The DLL has been tested on a company network using Eudora as default mail client and everything seems OK
there. I need somebody using Outlook and possibly other MAPI-aware mail clients to give this a very quick spin.

Post a message here, drop me a PM, or mail me.

Works like a charm on XP Pro with Outlook 2003 and Outlook XP. It does add a blank line at the beginning of the message body... not sure if that's intended or not. Either way it's a very nice DLL! Very Happy

New version af the MAPI dll beta is out.

Major parts are completely redone. I hope this will make the DLL more stable.
Added possibility of putting in a recipient name (real name)

Those who have tested already can get at the same URL as last time.

Hi,

Just tried it, but how come when I click send I have a new Outlook message window opening with the same info that I have put in the VDS form?

The other version was not doing this.. Maybe I missed something Wink

OS: Windows XP Pro
Client: Outlook 2003
Observations: Outlook no longer pops up a dialog asking if I want to allow the program to send mail on my behalf. It just opens up the new message window with the appropriate info filled in. I like it! Name feature works well and is a nice addition. No problems as of yet! Smile

Hi again!

Found the little issue. You now have the option of toggling the mail dialog by adding a SHOW parameter.

Test script in package updated to reflect this.

The test package has been updated so you may download again.

Version 1.1 released:

http://www.vdsworld.com/download.php?id=381

Fixed problem where the DLL would sometimes return 2 even if successful.
A couple of minor adjustments.
