|
|
Has anyone experienced their app freezing whilst displaying a @dirdlg() or @input() dialog? This happened twice to me today using GetBack, when adding a watched folder, once when selecting a folder (@dirdlg()) and then the next time when specifying the extensions to back up (@input()). I also seem to recall it happening once when adding a file type using the preferences of TextPad (another app from my website.)
These are modal dialogs from the point of view of the VDS runtime so it's hard to see what the cause could be. It might just be my system being a bit flaky (he says, hopefully...) _________________ The Tech Pro

I have experienced the same problem with vds 5. But only on Win XP. When I start my application and run the @dirdlg command right after starting windows, the program freezes. after restarting my program the command works correctly. |

I wonder if it is a problem somewhere in the hook procedure installed for "New folder" button ?
I had a similar probelm hooking these dialogs in my dll where I forgot to set a Bool checking if a message is already sent (result was a endless loop) caused problems only on win XP - maybe something similar in this case also. _________________ Regards
