Hello all,

Thanks to CodeScript I'm gettings very close to the program I want to make. I'm making a program which can react on my self-made remote control (Sometimes I'm lazy ). With this control I want to control the music on my disk, radio-stations, music CD's, movies on my disk and DVD's...

BUT... I think that the MCI can do whatever Windows Media Player can do, so if you have WMP 9, you can play DVD's to right? But HOW can you play them?

Thats why I want an MCI command string list or whatever, because the other functions have to be advanced too... not only play and stop. Is there such a list or can someone help me getting to the point? I already looked at the Microsoft Multimedia Documentation, but I cannot get the information out of it that I want...

I doubt if DVD files can be played easily with MCI commands more so you are on VDS 3.5.
You need to use MCI_OPEN to open a playback window - may even need to have a window of MCIWnd Window Class and then issue MCI strings to play your DVD file on it. The path involves using MCI structs etc.
These things probably cannot be done directly from VDS 3 and you may need to use Gadget Extension and be comfortable with Windows API programming.

Using vdsmedia dll may be the much easier way to go.
