%P = @sendmsg(@winexists(~LIST1),$0194,1000,0)

The message identified $0194 is the Windows API Message - LB_SETHORIZONTALEXTENT

Quote:

From VDS API Reference:

LB_SETHORIZONTALEXTENT

Windows = (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Win32's)

wParam = (WPARAM) cxExtent; // horizontal scroll width

lParam = 0; // not used; must be zero

Message ID = $0194

Description: An application sends an LB_SETHORIZONTALEXTENT message to set the width, in pixels, by which a list box can be scrolled horizontally (the scrollable width). If the width of the list box is smaller than this value, the horizontal scroll bar horizontally scrolls items in the list box. If the width of the list box is equal to or greater than this value, the horizontal scroll bar is hidden.

Parameters

Thanks PGWare Very Happy I was going to look it up but that takes a lot of time to do so Wink BTW names of numeric values are always important. Now that you know the name of the value you get some sort of idea what the value is actually doing. Notice that it does not turn scroll bars on and off it actually makes the Listbox larger than the window that it is on so thereby causing Windows to give it a scrollbar.

Serge, the function @sendmsg() is native to VDS, so you won't need to
define it. Smile

Oh, oops

I had so many POST going at once I forgot to tell you I got all this scroll stuff done.

I have it automatically adjusting to text as needed on the fly.
I had it on a button first, each time you clicked the 'horizontal' button, it would adjust from normal large and OFF... pritty fun subject

Thanks all you for all your help.
