I just got an email from something called MSDN Academic Alliance telling me that my university had joined that program (whatever it is), so I am entitled to a copy with a full single-user license of all their software. I checked and there are 84 software titles from Microsoft, which I can download w\ a license key and install for free. This includes windows xp, 2000, 2003 server, VS .net, Access, MapPoint, MS Project, SQL Server, MSDN Library, etc. (all in different versions and languages). It's really cool =)

Me too, so you don't really need to be at a university for that. Too bad that all software
titles are in English. Crying or Very sad

Guess it's part of a cunning ploy to stop students getting interested in Linux. Big Smile

Tommy: I prefer them in english. And you're in the university anyway.

Jules: My university is all pro-linux, so if that's the idea, I think they failed Razz All the computers in the university labs have linux (some have ONLY linux, the others have dual boot with windows xp) and we have to use linux and unix a lot, more than windows.
