I've added a feature for the people who want to hide the chat box and
display links only instead. It still has some work to be done on it but it
keeps track of your choice in a database so the forum will remember
your setting no matter what computer you log onto.

If anyone has any suggestions on it or any bugs that need to be fixed, let
me know. Smile

Just to let users know - the chat may not refresh on
mozilla based browsers.

It doesn't refresh on my system with Firebird anyway,
even though it tries to every 10 seconds or so. Wink

Cheers, Mac Smile

That's normal... Smile The only thing refreshing is a hidden page. Only where there is a new message, the chatbox itself will be refreshed... Smile

But it's NOT refreshing the chat box on new messages. I have to open IE or manually refresh the page to get current chat messages. Wink

Cheers, Mac Smile

I put in group highlighting for the usernames in the chat box to match the
way the "who's online" looks - but I'm not sure if it looks good. What do
other people think? Smile

OK with me - it's easier to spot a message if they are not all the same color. Wink

Cheers, Mac Smile

I've just added a new function to the chat... urls and email addresses will be converted automatically to hyperlinks. So there's no need anymore for the [url] tags Wink

Regards,
Vic

To get rid of the annoying refresh-sound, install the following registry key: hey... why using a download url? I can add it to this post too! Wink
Okay, see attachment for the patch.

It disables the click-sound at all pages though, but I don't think that should be a problem. I've never liked that sound really. Smile

Regards,
Vic
