Quote: | Hi Marty
Just to let you know, there is a bug in the Unoffical update of the vdsurfx.dll.
SURFX savepage,mSURFX,@path(%0)kwc.dat |
Its not a bug. The purpose of this command is to save ONLY the HTML code of the current page in the browser (vdssurfx) object.
So of course the urls, images, etc will not be on the local drive.
I added this feature for my own needs and thought of sharing it...
And before its asked.. no I wont add a way to save images also |

Yep, i understand that it saves the source file, but if you then click on any links on the page that has loaded into the browser. It trys to search for them on your local hard drive.
A way around this is you have to reload the page again, without using the save function after the page has loaded. And the browser searchs for the correct links.
I have now done this with the VDS Browser object, bascially what i needed was:
Load the page into a hidden VDS Browser, get the source code check it for PORN related material, keywords and if the page was ok, show the bwoser, if not display a DENIED ACCESS Page. Which i have got working now. Although I do find the VDS Browser is somewhat slightly buggy, when trying to do this.
This is why i wanted to try and use the VDSSURFX.DLL.

Ok added a new function to retreive the source of body of the current page into a variable:
Example:
Code: | %%source = @surfx(getsource,mSURFX) |
Let me know how it goes...

No, this is only a non-official release of the DLL only.
Sorry, too busy to update docs and everything.. |

It's nice that you're still offering unofficial updates, though _________________ FreezingFire

No problem Serge, nice to see your going to use it.
As for updates, well because of new extension (not by me) that will be available soon.. I will completly stop, for real, bug fixing and new additions like I did recently.
You will understand pretty soon what I mean ... |

Marty,
I think however, the creation of DSUs should increase dramatically.
There are still alot of VDS users that like simplicity ( hence why VDS was developed in the first place ) and DSU's would contribute that end. |
