I stumbled across the answer to this before, but I can't find it now that I need it!

I believe it involved saving the variable to the windows clipboard.

If your variable is @CR() or @LF()@CR() delimited ::
Code:

  list create,1
  list assign,1,%%variable
  list savefile,1,Z:\somefile.ext
  list close,1
