Ok guys I think I found the bug and it does not seem to be Gadget. At least not on this end. I believe it is when the signature file (sig.tmp) is trying to be deleted. I turned on Win 2000's Optimization option "Background Services" and I managed to reproduce your error? It seems that VDS and Win2k + XP does not like to rapidly delete the same file over and over again. BTW I am use VDS 3.51 and I got the same error as you at the same memory addresses. _________________ Home of

The error could be caused by The DLL Guardian too? I will look into this as well. _________________ Home of

It seems to be a problem while in the VDS editor. Prob. due to the fact that Gadget does access the applications local heap don't know but I will check into it more. The examples seem to run compiled with no problems. If you see a problem with a compiled script using Gadget let me know. _________________ Home of

Mindpower,
It does appear that your assumption is correct after compiling all the example scripts and running them on XP Pro I no longer received the errors. |

MindPower resolved the problem. I've tested the new version on Windows XP and it entirely
resolved the problem that FreezingFire and me mentioned earlier. If you're trying it, make
sure you download the latest version. |

Thank you Tommy for your help to figure this out with your testing. Lobo eventhough the old version of Gadget would compile and run I would not suggest you use it for anything. It has a nasty memory error and can crash another application. So please do not use the old versions of the Gadget Software. Also I appologize to S.A.D.E. for trying to blame VDS While I do not appologize to the builders of Windows 2k and XP I was using there documentation and it was wrong....hehehehe Just kidding.... The new version of Gadget seems to have resolved the problems. Please let me know if there are any other problems with Gadget. _________________ Home of
