vtol & Dave,
GadgetX has a Sleep command which takes time values in milliseconds. So you can do this Sleep 10 and GadgetX will pause the script for 10 milliseconds. When the time is up it fires an TIMER event. _________________ Home of

GadgetX has a sleep command that is advertised to operate with millisecond resolution. I haven't tried it yet, though.

(Edit: I think DragonSphere posted about 1 millisecond faster than me...) _________________ Hooligan

Hi All,
You can see a demostration of the Sleep command in my VDSWmp.dsc demo. It uses the Sleep command so that the VDS dialog repaints faster after a user chages the Windows Media Player view. _________________ Home of

hmm
Your sleep commad reminded me of the old DOS BATCH sleep(ping command), I think it will work in the place of the delay.dll, I'll try it later.
oh yeah, I'm gonna buy GadGet about May or June, I'm broke right now like most the time
I've been real excited about buying it it for years, or it seems like years
Great job on GadGet, super nice VDS goodys. |

TimeDate.DLL also features a WAIT function - wait time specified in millisecs.

Or the API solution?
| Code: |
LOADLIB kernel32.dll
info Waiting half a second until next 'INFO'
%%waitTime = 500
%P = @lib(kernel32,Sleep,INT:,%%waitTime)
info Now waiting 2 seconds until next 'INFO'
%%waitTime = 2000
%P = @lib(kernel32,Sleep,INT:,%%waitTime)
info Done waiting.

I haven't tested this but VDS has an OPTION SLEEPTIME in milliseconds and I think the WAIT command will sleep for one interval of this even if you put WAIT 0. _________________ The Tech Pro

Timedate.dll was the one I was thinking of - no offense to GadgetX
vtol,
I just tried your example code with Jule's suggestion. I used OPTION SLEEPTIME,1 with WAIT 0.01 in place of your %x = @DELAY(12) and it works great! Faster than your example and with no errors. And you can see the difference between WAIT 0.01 and WAIT 0.02 now. _________________ cheers

Dave,
No offense taken... The Sleep command in GadgetX was not designed to replace the general WAIT command in VDS. It was designed to replace the WAIT EVENT command in VDS. _________________ Home of

Thank you TechPro Jules , I figured VDS5 would not forget something like that, I'm just not good at finding things
And thank you for working it all out Dave
I tryed your Tech-Pro Partition Recovery software at your site Julian, very nice.
Now when I do need this, I will be ready next time |

It's not mine, unfortunately. I'm just a reseller.
If CR took my advice, we'll be able to resell VDS 6 too, if we want to. It would be an opportunity for those who are enthusiasts of VDS to take a role in promoting it. But at the moment, like the rest of you, I'm still waiting for Christmas. _________________ The Tech Pro
