Is it possible to download mail from an HTTP mailserver, such as Hotmail?

I believe it should be possible using VDSIPP and the HTTP protocol instead of SMTP. But technically you would be getting the web page not actually accessing the mail server but you should be able to get the same result with a little finagling. Yes, that's right I said finagling. If any one needs a reference here it is Very Happy .

Main Entry: finagle
Pronunciation: f&-'nA-g&l
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): finagled; finagling /-g(&-)li[ng]/
Etymology: perhaps alteration of fainaigue (to renege)
Date: circa 1924
transitive senses
1 : to obtain by indirect or involved means
2 : to obtain by trickery
intransitive senses : to use devious or dishonest methods to achieve one's ends Twisted Evil

If you have Outlook Express 5 you can get your Hotmail E-mails. If you make a program that connects to the same server, that server will send you a command. Then connect, with Outlook, to a server YOU made, and send the first server command. Then Outlook will give you something, and you can use that to send to the server. Then you can get all of the commands to connect to a Hotmail server and download E-mails...

The server that Hotmail usses is this:
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp

I hope that you can understand my story....
