This is both good and bad news.... Bad news that CR is in a bad position that has to consider selling VDS, but good news that PGWare may pick it up!
I would love to see VDS get a boost again. It's been so long now since it has had a boost, but all isn't lost, there's still a community left here, just needs VDS revitalized. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

I totally agree with Garrett.
If CR is bad then they should sell DialogScript to someone that could continue the good work for this software.
See my example: Take me over one week to get download id and i still don´t have my key to register DialogScript.
I hope that today i receive that key. _________________ César Baptista, Portugal

I was also thinking in buying a licence of v6 soon... This post is making me rethink if I should. I also consider VDS a great tool, I've been using it since version 3 and never found a product that could replace it.
Hope a new future is coming for VDS, and that must include a more aggressive and confident marketing of the product.
(I would also like to see some sort of virtual machine allowing the programs to run on systems other than windows )
Cheers,

Finally Guys,
We did it.
After many mails exchanged between me and CR owner i have my key.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Thanks to all of you who help me with this situation.
Next Steps:
In the next weeks i will be learning this great language for starting to make some applications and help those who need assistance.
Meanwhile i will be here in this forum very often so if you need something just tell me.
Thanks once again. _________________ César Baptista, Portugal

The key system is automatic, you should receive your key instantly. However from what I heard from CR there was some problem with the generation of this key and it had to be done manually. Also just post on the forum here if you are having difficulty getting your key and I, Garrett or someone else will try to help. CR is really trying to support the community here, sometimes snags in the process happen and it takes a little longer to get things fixed. |

This would be really cool, PGWARE.
VDS in hands of one of the most competent forum members ... just great. |

Well usually I am quiet since I am not active that much, but that quote certainly had me smiling very much!
Long time I know you PG, and your the best fit to get VDS, if it happens.
Wish you good luck! |

Are you sure Prakash you want this responsibility? Managing the upkeep on a language is a lot of work not to mention a lot ove money. This is not a knock against your programming skills because you do have skills. Personally I wish Ed would just open-source VDS if he can no longer manage it and is loosing money by trying to maintain it. That may take some doing to convince him to go the open-source route after investing so much money into it. I wish you the best of luck sir and I hope the two of you come to an agreement that we all can live with _________________ Home of

Don't think its gonna happen guys, I talked to him and he became less interested in selling VDS to me; mainly because he still loves the project. He still does work on it and is adding features but things take time. |

PGWARE,
But why don´t you and Ed work together as a team?
I think that he alone can't manage this language by it self.
So work as a team.
And split work.
I´m saying this because this language has very potencial but it needs changes to adapt it to the new OS and earlier features.
Just think about it you two.
In this way everybody wins.
And a new release could be released by 2011 perhaps. _________________ César Baptista, Portugal

Too much work and then not enough in revenue to split in half. Plus we both have different directions we would take the project; just different ideologies on how to proceed with it. |

Just found this thread by accident, have anyone else bought any VDS6 between 2011 and 2012? |
