Only been on the boards less than 60 minutes and already I've got a question !

I'm coming back to VDS from a long long time off programming.
My last effort with VDS2 16 bit was in 1997 - and all I have left is one of my compiled exe files, no script/project files at all left !
Although I've purchased VDS6 professional, it "appears" quite a leap from what I was used to back in 1996/7, so, I've also installed VDS4.0 personal edition.

Is there a beginners section anywhere, or some tutorials that I could get my head around to get back into the hang of this remarkable program ?
Or, is it better to just play with the scripts that a readily available here (great resource btw !!!) to get the hang of it all again ?

Cheers
Rob

(EDIT) Should have explored the forum (and my PC) a bit more before asking for help. . . Rolling Eyes
I'm currently working my way through the "examples" section . . . . Can't believe how quick it is going from a code idea to getting "something" on the PC screen ! Amazing !

Hi RWremote..

Heres a VDS cheat sheet at this forum LINK:
http://www.vdsworld.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3737&highlight=sheet

Theres another one somewhere here, but I could not find it today.

I allways use SEARH: <with boolen AND > which refines and filters good.
EXAMPLE:
AND cheat
The above EXAMPLE produced 8 matches.

This method is an easy to remember and quick way to turn VDSWORLD forum into a huge VDS helpfile.

...or maybe you allready knew all this Cool
