Thanks Tommy,
I'm kinda wondering if it's the underline char, or the fact
that it's outside the "code" tag, or both...
Could some of you guys do a little checking on that? (they all
work on my system) All ya gotta do is start a post then
preview it...

Hmm..It never showed the new replies here as new, I came here to post about the announcement and saw the new ones.
It looks good to me though finally
P.S. A "-" line doesn't seem to work for me. _________________ -Sheep

Why not make a more general solution to the line wrapping issue? The forum pages use style sheets, and VDS code sections have their own style definition - code.
It should be enough to add this property to the ".code" definition of the CSS file placed on the server:
white-space: nowrap;
Then all code sections won't have line wraps. Should work in all newer browsers.

Hmmmm. Another piece of back luck!
Anyways, tested the page here in Opera v. 5 + 6, Netscape Navigator 4 + 6, and MSIE 5 + 6 - everything OK (Win98SE).
Guess there must be some CSS incompatibility in some older MSIE versions...
But Tommy! Could you please try another one? Add the attribute NOWRAP to the <TD> tag containing the VDS code. So the tag looks like this:
<TD class=code NOWRAP>
This way the no-wrapping nature of code sections will be enforced both on CSS level and in plain HTML.
Cross my fingers.

Hmm..
No wordwrapping for me anymore. I use both Opera 6 and MS IE 6 too.
Why not upgrade? _________________ Sylvester
