Visual Resource 2.0 just released. If you don't know Visual Resource helps you in the dull task of creating DSR file and managing resources related to a VDS program.
This program is freeware but you'll need VDSRC.EXE from SADE (it is included in the registered version of VDS 3 and above).

The application only seems to allow *.dll & *.txt files to be added to a resource file. Is this true, or am I missing something?

It allows BMP and Txt files to be put in, which are the only 2 file formats VDS can read from a resource file.

But TXT files might not have a .txt suffix! .ini files should also be able to be included surely?

In fact you can include also ini files in resource but since an ini file is supposed to store "program config options" you should not put it in a resource file because VDS will not allow you to write to the DSR resource file.

However you are right about the "possible text file extension" problem... I will fix this...

Thanks for the response. I use ini files for static lookups as well. Ini files that change I'll keep outside of a .dsr file.
