Good to see you guys here still I remember opening the site back around 1998. I remember being in college and thinking I should open a vds website. I cant believe its been almost 20 years.
It's been a great community even though it has gotten smaller. I hope one day VDS rises again, but it was a nice language to learn and start from. |

In the meanwhile I have a bit more than 10 kids of my own, but only if you count the hundreds of projects that I track as children like I tend to do
I never abandon a project completely, not even VDS or VDSWORLD, although at some point it is only about minor steps, no big inventions on older projects anymore I guess. |

I'm still here too!
Also started with 2.5 and upgraded my way through to 6.
Still can't beat VDS for a quick and easy application.
As long as it keeps working under Windows I too will keep using it. When I get stuck I come here and search the forum for a solution.

Hi VDS'ers, I really miss this community. The brain trust was amazing to be part of. I still play with VDS a little on Win 7. |

Dusted off VDS6 a few weeks ago after couple of years (at least) away from it. Admittedly it was tough to restart a new project as I was so rusty and I am not a coder at all. But a few visits to VDS world for help and tips, checking out some old scripts and sure enough, VDS gave me results. Nice!
Sad to see VDS going away, but I will still look to it for solutions in the future. _________________ OLD and eager! |

I still use VDS frequently, and I use this forum as frequently as I do the VDS help file. This continued use is despite now being pretty adept in a few other coding languages. VDS is still very comfortable and powerful by comparison. For a quick tool, it's VDS almost every time. |

Is it still possible to buy version 6? I purchased 5 but never upgraded and then read about Julian. If it's still possible I would like to buy it but I don't want to go to the site if it's a dead end.
Still using VDS nearly everyday after 12 years!
