I think this would make VDS a popular and fantastic addition to a web site. Although users would probably have to install the browser plugin, this would open an extraordinary opportunity to a webmaster of a site. For example, this could be just as good as Java, but much better because it would take little effort and time to create a wonderfully interactive site.
Some things that this could be used for:
Password Gate
Chat
Interactive program (calculator or someting)
Utility (such as something like the online McAffee VirusScan)
TONS more...
and if it could be embedded into the page, it could be able to produce the following:
Fully integrated interactive pages
Utility (such as something like the online McAffee VirusScan)
TONS more...anything you could do in VDS could be done on a web page.
I think that this would be one of the best things since the creation of VDS. _________________ FreezingFire

I have been working on a program in VDS that is kindof like AOL but NOT!
(AOL sux). You would already have to be online to use it, but , the VDS
community could make there own pages and this would link everyones
sites together with a lot of other features. I haven't started coding it
yet, just jots on paper. Once I do start, It may take a little to get
it up and running, but, I think it would be a great addition. I will
try to also develop an SDK so other VDS users can create plugins
for it. Once I have a good solid idea, I'm sure I will need help, so
I will be posting ideas and getting people who would like to help in
the development. _________________ Chris

That sounds like a really cool idea...that would be a great addition to the VDS community!
But how could VDS be available to anyone on the internet? For example, when you download something such as the Macromedia Flash Plug-in, you are asked something like "Do you want to install and run ____________?" and you can click yes or no. VDS could have a "VDS Player" which would allow net surfers to install and run a plug-in for VDS which would allow VDS programs to be executed by the internet or a web page...if it would get even better, there could be a page extension, ".vds" or something, which would be a server-side processing language, where you could write directly a vds-code page which would act as something like PHP or CGI...
That's just an idea. _________________ FreezingFire
