Hello everybody!

I'm glad to annouce the PRE-opening of a new VDS Web Portal. This portal will be another great place to meet VDS users and get some general information about new releases of extensions, VDS applications and more. Also there's a Discussion Board ready to go too.

You will noticed that the portal is not 100% VDS. Well I decided to join two great communities together. The Multimedia Builder one and the VDS one. Multimedia Builder is powerfull multimedia authoring tool that allows you to create some really great multimedia applications.

Why join these two?
Well Im a registered user of both VDS and MMB (Multimedia Builder). And I think both applications can make a great combination. Let me explain myself. The first product I released was eXtremeMP3 Player v2.0, the main player was made with MMB and the external components were made with VDS (Playlist, DropNPlay, Taskicon,etc...) thats just one example. With MMB its possible to embedde executables within the MMB form. So meaning you could embed a VDS application.

Anyway both communities are very helpfull. The only major difference is the amount of users. There's 4000 members on the main Discussion board of MMB and about 225 here at VDSWORLD.

So Im giving a chance to VDS users to post there links, demos, scripts, etc.. to the portal before MMB users.

Because I anticipate lots of traffic to this portal, I`m currently looking for some moderators for the VDS section of the discussion board and maybe other things.

Please check if a section interests you and send me a private message.

I'm planning to have a tutorial section, FAQ and other nice features so MMB users can learn about VDS.And vice versa.

I discovered VDS because of MMB by the way, and now all my work is done with VDS 70% of the time.

Dont be shy register and have a nice visit...

Nice site, but it's kinda slow on 28k dial-up (which
is about all that's available in my area)... Sad

Thanks Mac for letting me know. Its all in PHP pre-made. Nothing much I can do about it. Sorry Sad

Anyway Im not sure I will leave it up. Its kind of test Im doing. If after a 3 month period theres no activity I may close it down.

99% of users who registered are VDS users I think. And thanks BTW those who registered and visited.

Well, Marty. The site looks great. In my opinion, I think using that
as your main site may be something to think about (at least useing
e-Xoops or Xoops) I am using Xoops as well and it is very easy to
use and maintain, not to mention all of the mods that can be added.
Anyway, I just thought I would add my 2 cents! Rolling Eyes

Mac: Is my site slow? I use the same type of PHP system.

Chris, yours loads a lot faster on my system,
(about like VDSworld) but Marty has more
graphics and stuff. Wink
