Ok everybody I think I found a big bug in VDS, but first I would like to know info about your VDS creations. Did any of you did a project that had more than 4250 lines of code?

If yes what is the number of lines code you had?

Let me explain, it seems for me anyway, if I have more than around 4270 lines of code including remarks, blanks ,etc.. I get OUT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES trying to start my COMPILED VDS application. If remove a couple of blank lines, the error disapears. Adding blank lines again the error comes back.

So it seems to be limited at a certain amount of lines of code. If any of you encounters this with VDS 4.0 let me know. I would be curious if it does that too with VDS 3.51.

I will send this "maybe" bug to SADE if I got confirmation from any of you.

Thanks for your cooperation

Hi:
I have several programs that were compiled with both 3.51 and 4.0 with over 5000 lines of code including the largest with 8732 lines.

I hope this helps.
Nick

And you never had this problem?....

Maybe it's OS specific...

Just so you know, System Resources have nothing to do with RAM.
It is where all Dialog/Window elements and fonts are stored. Resource space is returned when programs close correctly.

You running out of resources could depend on what you have running and how many elements/fonts there are in your program.
There are a couple manual settings in windows that can be set to help increase System Resources, but I'd have to look around for what they are.
