I use a VDS application to act as a DDE Server (using the vdsdde.dll from PGWare) to provide data to a Word document acting as a DDE Client. It has worked fine to date, if a bit slow...
However the DDE process seems to not work on a Terminal Server session. This is the first time it has been used in a Terminal Server.
Is this a known problem, or should I look for the cause elsewhere?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Andrew GRAY

Hi Andy,
I don't have a terminal server to test this on so I really can't comment if it will work or not. However I did use the Borland DDE Server components, so they are standardized dde.
The only thing I can suggest is testing to see if other vds DDE (client, server) applications work on the terminal server, or find other apps that act as dde servers and can interact with Word and test if they work. |

Thanks for the reply Prakesh. We don't have a terminal server either. One of our clients use one. We are in the process of setting one up in the meantime to test throughly as you suggest.
I'll report back here when we have done that.
