Btw. Maybe DOS is a little bit too new for him... Maybe you should first try the Atari 8-bit console OS ???

In order to get him to upgrad his OS, we'd need to upgrade his computer
first, like from an old Abacus to maybe a blazing fast and new TRS80.

Whew. There's a time warp for you. I had my Atari 800 set up on a card table in the corner of the dining room . Many hours spent staring at a screen just like the above. Somehow fun to see those old things.
