Tim, I'm just having fun with you now. You're not asking too much this time. In your first few months you may have asked a few too many questions, and it seemed as if you were taking advantage of the people here, but you've continued to stay here, you slowed down on your questions and I think you've tried to help others now and then. I think you've done very well since.

i'am getting close BUT still can't get it to work right ............grrrrrrrrr
that c = is what i can't get right...it stilll prints out info that i don't want in there

Hi Tim,
Try changing the "8" to "@len(%N)" and see if that doesn't help.

ok the problem is it does this:
when i have "info %c" there so i can see what is going on i get this:
tim.TXT- 1111 2222 2222 12222
the data is right bUT the tim.txt should say tim-del: then the data

lol, sorry Tim, guess it's my fault. Replace this line:

With this one:

Try that and let me know what happens.

anyways well that took out all of it only thing i get is the data
meaning this

nothing in front of it

I used the script you posted one the first page of this thread. Try this:
You're looking at the wrong piece of data. All you've been looking at is the substring.
