Greetings everyone,

I'd like to know if anyone else has ever tried finding out the status of the
VDS IDE through your vds program? I've tried, and when vds is mimized,
it does not report as being minimized using the code below:

Code:
  If @equal(@winpos(#TMainWin,S),2)
    Info VDS Is Mimimized
  End
  If @equal(@winpos(#TMainWin,S),1)
    Info VDS Is In View
  End

Does anyone have any other suggestions that might help me detect when
the VDS IDE is minimized and in normal view?

Thanks,
-Garrett

Hi Garrett,
I have written a command line compilier for VDS 3.5 a long time ago. All it did was automate VDS by sending keys and things like that but yeah VDS is a pain to minimize so what I did was to actually hide the IDE until I needed it. You can also push it off the screen as well. I think that will work too??? Not sure. Anyway I will dig up my old code and post it to this thread if you still need it?

Hi MindPower, I was only trying to determine if and when the VDS IDE
was minmized or restored so that my program could also either minimize
itself when VDS was minimized, or restore my program when VDS was
restored.

My problem was finally resolved when Bill gave me the proper class
name to use.

Thanks for the offer of help though. Smile
