Off-topic: you just need a good TV card which is from any manufacturer other than Pinnacle...
I'm still mad at Pinnacle for having me buy something that makes my computer crash
so often... even in Windows 95. A recommendation on this topic is trying the freeware TV

Mac, my tv card is an old Hauppauge WinTV PCI. And I just found
out what was causing the crashes all these years with it!!!!
Ever since Win98 came out and I started running Dual monitors, I've
never run my system with only a single monitor since.
TV card always crashed if I did much of anything. But recently, I was
running with no second monitor in use and I have not had one crash yet.
So I think it's safe to say that if you're running a dual monitor setup
that you may experience problems with a Hauppauge WinTV.
I hear that the USB versions lack the picture quality of the pci card
versions.
Mac, do you know if we can access our wintv cards via @mci() ????

Mine's PCI too Garrett, but I have no clue about accessing
it with MCI...

I would assume you could..how? Don't ask me..
Just about the only thing I found on it is this:

February 4, 1999 Source: Lorne Sunley (lsunley@mb.sympatico.ca)
YADTV/2 Version 1.11 Released
I have released a new version of the YADTV/2 televison application. The application is currently at http:/hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/yadtv111.zip and at some point will migrate to http:/hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/apps/mmedia/yadtv111.zip.
The application uses the OS/2 Multimedia MCI interface to control the tuner and display for video capture cards that have a TV tuner.
The application has been tested with the Hauppauge Wincast/TV card using the beta drivers from http://www.wdi.co.uk/os2tv/download.htm the application requires that the TV card driver is used with FP6 or better and a GRADD based video driver for direct screen access for the display of the television image. Some display problems exist with Wincast drivers earlier than 1.030M
The application should work with any video capture card that supports the MCI (Media Control Interface) in OS/2 Warp.
This application is FREEWARE - you may use it at your own risk. The author is not responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the application.

Thanks Tommy...I have a Pinnacle PCTV too but mine does not crash all the time Anyway I have never liked the interface that came with the card It does not have a OSD but I noticed that this application does. I was going to write my own and post it but now I guess I don't have to This is too cool...I can't wait to get home and try it out this week-end... _________________ Home of
