OK heres an update, i will release the first version is a few days. Heres a list of some the features, including some suggested features for added security:
* Servers
You can configure your POP3 and SMTP servers. eg. username, password, server, port and email address.
Addtional:
Delete messages of server
Send Successful Command Emails
Send Failure Command Emails
Ask for Verification Command Email
* Settings (inc. Security)
You can specify a Password and a Username that must be used when sending an email command.
Addtional:
Automatic Send/Receive every 1 minute to 60 minutes
Keep Logs of all actions, commands etc
* Control
You must specify programs/controls that are available. In other words if you send an email command and it is not listed in the control list. The action will not be performed.
Addtional:
You have the option of changing the status of commands: Active and In-Active. If you send an email command the command has been set to In-Active the action will not be perfomed.
* Replying
Once you have sent a vaild command to ControlPC. If you have selected verify command, ControlPC will email you and ask you the following:
Are you sure you want to perform this command?
Confirm|
Answer Yes or No after the Bar.
You will also be asked a secret question that you have predefined to ControlPC. You can set two secret quesitions. These are choosen at random by Control PC and included in the Confirmation Email.
You will click REPLY to this email and complete the questions etc.
Once ControlPC receives this email, it will perform verification on all aspects eg.
Command, Confirmation and Secret Question only when all the correct details have been checked ControlPC will perform the control.
Another security feature i will add to the next version will be: Attempts !
eg.
You have supplied an incorrect Username and Password
You have 2 more attempts or the email address you are using will be blocked.
Any feedback on the above?
