|

It is frustrating to find an essential element of a dialog you want to skin does not have the TRANSPARENT style available. Groups and tabs come to mind as well as radio buttons and trackbars... it would be fantastic to have more elements with this style, if not individual parts of the elements as well (i.e. the slider on the trackbar). |

I agree!
Also frustrating is the inability to display certain elements over top
of other elements. I guess " more universal styles " or "more
flexibilty" of elements would be on my wish list.

Would like to see the BITMAP control to actually allow transparency. |

I think the BITMAP elements can be transparent if you set the dialog to
use the "TRANSPARENT" style. _________________ FreezingFire

I'm sure I can speak for at least most of the regulars in saying "YES"!!!
Please don't be put off by the lack of responses.. Your efforts and code
are more than helpful and valued here.
Any API examples you offer are more than welcome and appreciated.

Thanks everybody.
BTW I am not a API "guru" - though my real name contains that term . I am learning API just like any one else.
I was just wondering either these examples are too simple/known or too complex to grab - coz very few people view these and even fewer respond. Once my script was causing errors - yet no one took notice for >1 week ! when i discoverd that and corrected !. _________________ Regards

hi codescript,
i can't speak for others but this is my story...i do check all the new posts at this forum almost each day, including all yours...but i only chase up the ones i need at the time or the ones that could be of interest to my projects...hence my "lack of response"...this does not mean that your work is wasted or not appreciated...just that it doesn't scratch my current itch if you know what i mean
i also take the view that i know that your material is there so that when one day i will need it then i will know where to go
thanks for all your work

This goes for me as well. Right now especially as I really don't even have time for my own projects due to work. I do view every new post and then know that when I need it I can come here and dig into the code and really examine it.
Please don't stop posting as your examples are really good for those of us who are learning API.
Thanks,
Mark |
