Well, actually I'm not using the standard 'ol notepad anymore
so that's why I didn't catch it... Embarassed

I found the problem - it's the difference in normal text file CRLFs
and the standard C newline char.

Will fix it this afternoon and post back here to let everyone know
when I get it uploaded.. Wink

Thanks FF Smile

Cheers, Mac Smile

It's fixed! Smile

Files saved with UG SAVEFILE now show no difference from
the original using DOS FC (file compare) - checked with both
TEXT and BINARY compare.

Check the timestamp on your DLL if you're not sure it's current.
The current release should be 3/27/2003 6:23 PM.

Thanks for the feedback guys - let me know if ya have any
other problems. Wink

EDIT: Newer version with many more features:

I ran into this problem while using VDSINOUT to write directly to files. I
think the CRLF may be interpreted differently. For me the answer was
replace @cr() with @chr(13)@chr(10)

That was pretty much the problem moke - I was originally using the
C/C++ "newline" char which doesn't include a carriage return. Wink
