Is the copy function in vds different as the MS-copy function?

I want to copy some files from a Network drive to the lokal partition on my PC. If the network was disconnected between the copy action, then the file(s) on the network will be corrupt, when I use the vds copy function.
If I use the windows function (for example with the copy in a batchfile) then the files on the network will be not corrupt.

Does someone have the same Problem?
