Anyone feeling a little adventure in their blood today?
Got a little proggy that needs to be run a few times on a few machines. I know it says it's shareware, but it's free for anyone here who downloads it now and tries it for me and gives me a little feed back on it.

You can post any comments, questions or problems regarding the program here. It's VDS made.
Thanks,

Oh, yeah. I feel that adrenaline of adventure pumping in my veins today,
so I took your little program for a quick spin on my computer.
I am pleased to tell you that so far the program works flawlessly, and
furthermore it is a great idea to handle some favourite folders in this way.
I've been testing on this: WinXP Home, Danish edition
Comments:
Could it be possible to give the new virtual drives their own volume label?
In that way it will be easier to identity these hard folders, otherwise you
will have to remember which is which. Now each hard folder has the same
label as the 'hosting' drive, except for the drive letter, of course.
Keep on trucking

Hi
when I create a virtual folder
it's ok, everthing work well
but if I wanna to remove the virtual drive,
The "-" icone can't be clickable
I must brush a folder, and connecect it (for a second time) , to be abble to remove it
sorry for my uggly english _________________ Zoltar

Seems to work fine so far on regular Windows 98, for both adding and removing.
One question though, what's the reason for the "drafts" folder/subfolders? _________________ -Sheep

Gerrett,
Kind of looks like the one I made. I didn't get a change to put in VDSWorld but it has been on my personal site for a little while. If you want to, you can take a look at mine. I will take a look at yours. I am going to DL it now. You DL mine at

You reminded me to put it on VDSWorld so I'm going to do that now.. _________________ Chris

I'm glad it works on XP, as I was not sure if it would or not.
Unfortunately, there is no way to give the virtual drives thier own volume label. It's a limit of the subst.exe which comes with windows. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

When you connect it, then click on the drive button again, and then again click on it and try to disconect it. See if that works that way. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

Sorry, didn't mean for the zip to produce that folder also. Drafts folder is usually where I keep things that were part of the development of a program. Icons, reference files and original drafts of a program while I'm initially making it. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

Hi Garret,
i've tested it on windows 98 first release and it didn't work. The program doesn't start, no error codes, nothing happens.
On windows xp proffesional edition version 2002 it works fine.
See you rene |

LOL!!!! That's funny! I didn't see yours and didn't even know you had made one also.
You should've seen my first one that I made of this. It's so old that it's in VDS 2.x code.
Downloaded yours. Looks good, but mine looks better than yours. But then again, yours looks better than the first one I made, which I never distributed because it wasn't much to look at. Here, take a look at my first one: http://eyrisdev.com/virtdrvmkr.gif
I originally got my idea from a program called "DirectDrive" which I think can still be found somewhere online. That program just didn't quite do what I wanted it to do, nor did it work the way I thought it should have. So like any good VDS'er, I set out to make my own. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

Hi Rene,
Can you check on that Win98 one to see if you have subst.exe in the c:\@windir()\command\ directory?

Hi Rene,
Do you have any folder security program which might prevent files being copied to and from a folder?
Or any security program that might prevent a exe from being run?
Otherwise, I'm not sure what's going on here. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |
