Still off-topic:
grc.com's ShieldsUp contains a feature that can test nearly all of your ports and shows
you which are being blocked by your ISP, provided that you don't have a firewall running
yourself. Go to ShieldsUp and select "All Service Ports" from the "ShieldsUp Services" panel. |

My version 2 registration details and numbers etc., do not seem to work with this version 3.
Do I have to pay an upgrade charge? I was told when I first registered that I would not!

VDSIPP 3.1.15.2004 Update DOWNLOAD HERE
This update fixes a major flaw with the HTTP POST command where it would not work on certain scripts. The POST command should now be fully functional. Also added a ton of new functions for the HTTP protocol to extract information from http headers (eg. content-type, accept, encoding, expire date, date, last-modified.) |

Hmmm. Checked the package out. Works in my VDS3 - absolute NO-GO in VDS5: the first time the DLL is
called there is an 'error in external...'. Tried out 4 or 5 of the example scripts, all the same.

Aaaah, you were right - I had been looking through my Win tree, but there was an old one in
a directory that's in my path
Now it's OK

Yes please make sure older copies of VDSIPP aren't found in your path. I had the same problem last night while developing the new VDSIPP. I had added a ton of new functions to the http protocol and while testing them I kept getting null values, I thought wtf could be going on here the code I'm using is 100% correct but nothing is working... Then I found an old copy of the VDSIPP in my path 1 hour of trying to debug only finding out it was a dll in the path !!
The older VDSIPP (about 1 major version back) had problems that would not work under vds 5, it will work sometimes but not always but then would throw up errors during the middle of the script. This has subsequently been fixed. |

Next time while debugging/testing a DLL, you should use the full path of the updated file... |
