|
|
I ran into this specific problem when I first run the VDSOBJ.DLL example
script 6 then click the compile button after I close it. The IDE simply closes
and no work is saved.
When I look in the folder, all the files are still there, but I can see things
such as ~vdstemp.manifest etc.
I am using:
- VDS 5
- Windows XP Professional (all possible patches and updates applied) _________________ FreezingFire

I think this is actually maybe something in vdsobj rather then vds 5. The same happens in vds 4 too. A compiled exe won't exhibit this behavior. It may be something within the dll not releasing correctly becuase of the sendmessage api's sent to the objects thus causing the IDE to unexpectedly terminate. |

Actually after testing this with FreezingFire we found its an issue with teh FILELIST object in vdsobj. I'll take a look into this and release a fix shortly for vdsobj - it's not a problem with VDS. |

Yeah it happened only with example 6.
But there is a similar bug in VDS which causes the IDE to suddenly minmize (not dissapear/close) on hittting a (any ) button occasionally.
It causes more of a irrritation than any real harm though. _________________ Regards

It's with the FILELIST and setting a path/directory to it. If no path/directory is set or a directory like c:\ then no crash occurs. |

I'm going to move this over to the Other Products/Announcements since it's a bug with vdsobj rather then with VDS itself. |
