Hi Guys,
Just finishing this program off... started it over a year ago, but only now getting to finish it off.
What is it?
With all the stuff in the news about government documents going missing and getting lost while stored on a USB memory stick.
I though about encrypting files on the USB memory stick, there are some programs out there that do it, but they require and install and then create a virtual drive etc...
USB Protect IT, runs directly from the USB Memory Stick, its a drap 'n' drop interface, simply drop on any files you want to encrypt.
Benefits
- No installation required
- simple to user drag and drop
- Choose encryption method, Blowfish, Des, Twofish
- Generate your own Encryption Key & Salt
- Lock To Key (feature), when enabled any files encrypted on a USB Memory Key CAN NOT be unencrypted from a different USB Memory Key.
Thats version 1 which i will be releasing in the next couple of days...
Whats planned for the next version?
Email an encrypted file to someone, they would then download a free version of USB Protect IT to unencrypt the file, as long as they have the .upi file (which is a package containing the orginial file and the encryption secret. They must then login to the Free version with the correct details to de-crypt the file.
Anyone interested in a preview release ?
Just drop me a pm
