Hi,

Is there a way to add an icon next to each menu items when I do

dialog popup,File|Open|exit

for example.

The other question is if I put
dialog popup,File Open|Save as...|Close app

It doesnt seem to accept file openMENU afterwards. I have to put FileOpen for the name of the item to work.

Any ideas, thanks

Hey marty, :)

The syntax of a MENU item is case-sensitive, so if
you have "File Open" as a menu item, the label name
must be ":File OpenMENU" not "file openMENU" (the
"menu" part is not case-sensitive).

You can't have icons in MENU items in VDS3. I don't
know about VDS4 (but I doubt it).

However, you should be able to create your own popup
menu using a child dialog, and make it look pretty much
however you want (icons, etc.)...

I posted a custom popup menu example in the
VDS3 Source Code section. It should work in
VDS4 too.

You could also use a bitmap for the whole child
dialog menu, and use XY coordinates for each
menu item... Smile
