Std 404 page not found error (in French). But why are you using that URL? The new site is php so there are no static html pages anymore. The Shop button on the web page takes you to this URL:
http://www.dialogscript.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=74
Oh, I see now, you clicked the Buy Now button in VDS 6 demo. _________________ cheers

That was my question, why when I click the Buy Now it takes me to a french page, strange.
Maybe my comp in the other room has a language problem, it also curses me a lot Parden the French.
I noticed in fine print on the SHOP ONLINE tab it say purchasing will begin Dec 31, 2007. |

Vista WILL run help from VDS but standard Windows Vista doesn't has winhelp32 on board anymore so you have to download and install it separately from Microsofts website.
After you installed it hlp-files will open again as they did in Windows XP.
WinHelp32 can be downloaded for free from Micrsofts website, just type in winhelp32 in the search box at their website and you'll get there.

I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering why WinHelp is required to read a compiled HTML help file. But they have done something to it. The help file that I made uses nice aliased fonts. The one they are distributing has a horrible bitmapped font in the Contents panel that looks like something from Windows 3.1. _________________ The Tech Pro

Another thing I notice is that in the VDS main folder there is a help file named "Icon Designer.chm" but where is the icon designer itself?
I have searched all menu items in VDS6 but cannot find it anywhere and also on disk I cannot find any icon desgner program.
Anyone found it yet?

The Icon Designer is sent in a supplementary package which you receive after purchasing. _________________ FreezingFire

The VDS 6 help files runs fine under Vista and without no particular need of winhelp32.
It has been compiled with the regular Microsoft HTML Help compiler.
The whole helpfile has been totally re written due to several missing things and no working popups...
Hmm..; Maybe I forgot to set the font style for the content table... But it doesn't look that horrible Jules >
Btw, there is still one thing which doesn't work in this helpfile under Vista: it's launching external files (scripts).
The problem might be UAC related...
Yes the Icon Designer is part from the registered package.

I believe he was refering to VDS 5 and it's help file? .hlp files wont run in Vista without the .hlp engine being installed - not a bug in VDS rather a deprecated feature; most apps have moved onto .chm long ago. VDS 6 is now using .chm compiled html.
I'ved tested VDS 6's help under Vista Ultimate and in a virgin copy of XP (virtual pc) and it works perfect.
Also I didn't notice anything wrong with the font in the contents area of the help file, I'm not sure what font you used originally Jules but this one isnt so bad either. If you can mention the font name it may be worth discussion and hopefully a change can be made. |
