|
|
Hi VDS users
I'm not sure it's the best place to do this announcement but...
The Internet Suite Extension 3.0 has been released...
This upgrade doesn't include a lot of change, but few things fixed for VDS 6 compatibility and the dsu files done for VDS 6.
To keep a logical version number the dll has been renamed vdstcp60.dll
Upgrade free for all registered users from version 2.xx.
Your serial doesn't change.
Download it now:

I have a full registered version of VDS6, but on trying to run vdstcp60.exe I am told that:-
_isetup.exe cannot find vds6run.dll
not sure why. But obviously something wrong... _________________ Andrew GRAY

Is that just a typo?... as it should be looking for vdsrun60.dll _________________ John Trappett |

Yes, a typo. It seems that the VDS6 DLLs are not properly registered on this machine, as it does work on another.
I'll un-install and re-install over the weekend. And try and find my Internet Suite Serial number... _________________ Andrew GRAY

I'm not sure why _isetup, as it would be _setup...
For vds6run.dll, indeed it's a typo.
This install requires the VDS 6 runtime installed... _________________ Official member of Commercial Research Ltd. support

ok, disregard my question in the other forum. I understand what you're requesting... The serial for VDSTCP from reg.dialogscript.com...
I'll take a look into this website in few minutes to see what happened.

I have a similar issue. I have a valid internet suite 2.0 key and it works fine in vds 5. but when I try to compile “version 2 or 3 of internet suite” with vds 6 or input the license key into the license manager and click test I get the
“you must purchase a license for this extension in order to use it in compiled programs."
Ideas?? |

I seem to remember that a lot of the extensions that were released for VDS 5 and above were actually coded to accept only VDS 5. When I was working on VDS 6 obviously I wanted to use these extensions so I modified the test so they would accept greater or equal to 5. I presume that CR is now distributing these modified versions. _________________ The Tech Pro

VDS knows about this issue and are working it so I hope to have this issue resolved shortly.
Thanks for the incite.. |

The only problem I have with the browser suite 3 is the NOFILEDOWNLOADS wont work on anything.
And I know this is not so important, but I wish it had better susport fro Flash v6 or v7, I had to quit using it because it lagged quite a bit when viewing newer Flash material like .SWF files. |
