Borland sold Delphi off along time ago - it went to several groups, CodeGear held it for awhile, now Embarcadero does. I think a few other groups also owned Delphi between those two as well.
Embaracedero has owned Delphi for about 2 years now. A new version of Delphi came out a few weeks ago; which I probably will not upgrade to as I'm waiting on a version that can compile 64-bit executables; I'm also considering moving over to c#.
It's a nice development tool but it hasnt evolved that much over the years to really be competitive with Microsofts offerings that are completely free.
I'm not sure why the server seems faster, the old server was also located in Dallas Texas with a 100mbps upstream as does the new one; but great to hear anyway |
