New version of Save-It is now available and out of Beta. Still needs a help file though. I'm working on it.
Please use link in first post to download Save-It. The update system had a bug. or go to http://goo.gl/T030e
Version 1.0.0.11
- Fixed bud in update system.
- Fixed bug in delete file.
Version 1.x
Changes / Additions:
- Out-of-Beta release
- Added registration system (Cost is $19.95 + tax)
- Added "Add Files To Archive" and "Add Folder to Archive" items in the Edit Menu
- Changed internal code for Column View menu
- Changed resize code becuase of errors
- Added Refresh button for Snapshot table
- Added icons to Snapshot table
- When a file is updated a green icon with a check is next to the file name
- If a file is not found, a red icon with an X is next to file name

Thanks. I does stink that I cannot use the bsGetIcon. Hopefully it can be made in VDS 5. If not, I'm not sure what else I can do.
I'll change that copyright. Oops

Once I snapshot an updated file will the green check icon always be there?
Look at the imagelist.dsc code from ShinobiSoft that I released with the rest of the extTable source code. Or use the extTable.dsu itself. Its vds 5 compatable.
BTW- you can put the update ico in a different column or use state images with extTable

The green icon will go away on the next snapshot, unless that file was updated again.
I'll take a look at that thanks!

Hi Chris
great job really but only one thing:
-I think it would be useful to add a control to prevent the program to run twice, maybe making it normal if iconized or alerting the user that Share- It is already running always running a single instance of the program

I can do that, but I'll make it an option in the options menu. I have been running two or more updating different archives from different projects...and for testing different versions.

In Windows 7 the initial Updater 6 call fails when you first run Save-It/does not initiate update.
When ran from the menu it's perfect.

How does it fail? Do you get an error or does it not "see" the new update is available?

Update 6 works on my Win 7 x64 PC during Save-It start up after I give it permission.
Why does it tell me there is an update when I have the same version it says is available. Shouldn't the red text at the bottom of the dialog not appear if you have the latest version?

Well, it (updater 6) ask to invoke as administrator, then Save-It just starts and I don't see anything checking for update.
I'm assuming that's a fail?

Yes, it should go away. I'll check on that, it think I'm going to do it a different way.
Yea, that's a fail.
