Anyone know of a way to capture an image from a webcam in VDS? _________________ Chris

One of Tommy's DLLs I think offers this support.... I think! _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

Dang, I know I saw something years ago, thought it was one of Tommy's dlls. Sorry, I can't remember _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

No problem. Thanks though. I found a command line app called snapz that takes a pic using the current webcam on the system. Works great so far. _________________ Chris

vidcap.dll and vdscap.dll seem like two different dll files to me. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

Hey LiquidCode,
I also tried snapz, but if you have no webcam attached it crashes I was also looking for something to capture a snapshot from Webcam. VIDCAP.DLL from Tommy works, but when it starts it keeps opening my webcam console / settings (tried with different computer/webcam brands) and waits for me to close that panel to start showing the stream. Which is not pratical. |

Well, snapz also doesn't work if the webcam is internal (i.e. a netbook or laptop) _________________ Chris

Good question...I was able to get vidcap to work nicely. The latest version allows me to select which source to capture. I'm happy with it so far. _________________ Chris
