I still used VDS all the time -- can't help myself. Odd issue though, on my laptop (win 7 pro, SP1), every now and then, some of my VDS progs won't launch -- get an exception error. A reboot resolves it, but wanted to know if anyone had a fix. Tried running the progs as admin, compatibility mode, etc. - still the same. And this is only on my laptop -- run plenty of VDS progs on other Win 7 machines and no issue. BTW -- dread the thought -- these are compiled in VDS4.
Thanks! |

not that I have the answer at the moment, but you might want to mention whether the laptop is 32 bit or 64 bit. That could be helpful to anyone else who might have an idea of the issue you're having. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

Ahhh, good point Garrett! 64 bit. BTW, I checked, some of the other win 7's with no issues are 32 and some 64. |

Check to see if you have the vdsrun DLL file in both c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\syswow64, the DLL is a 32bit DLL and should ONLY be in the syswow64 directory, 64-bit executable and DLL's should be in system32. |
