I just finished a color picking program called ColorCell2. I need
some feedback on the program. Let me know what you think and
if there is anything else that you may want to see added. It is
in beta stage and this it a time limited beta demo.

I tried your Color Cell 2...the interface is very nice, and it looks professional. But is there still a way to capture the color on the screen where your mouse is like in the first version of Color Cell? I did notice the VDSCAP.DLL was in the package I downloaded, so I must be missing something... (Unless because this is the BETA Version and you will be adding it in...)
Overall, your product is very nice and is a good program.

Has anyone tested ColorCell2 1.2b? I was going to get ready to release
it. If you have tested it, could I get a little feedback. If you have not
tested it. Please give it a try.

Sure, I tried it, it has even been useful for a program I'm working on.
I really like it, especially the new screen capture and cell capability. If it's not to hard to
implement, it would be really useful to be able to configure the number of rows of cells,
so that more colors could be stored if wanted. One thing which seems a disappointing
compared with the older version is that the color gradient doesn't seem really smooth
anymore, it seems to be divided in two, possibly leaving small part of the gradient away...
For all the rest, it's perfect! |

I'll try to fix the gradient and will see about adding
the number of cells. Thanks for the feedback. _________________ Chris

Tested it on Win Me and it seems to work well. There is a noticable line down the middle of the gradient I guess, not too bad though.
If you click on the current color's cell(next to the dropper) and don't drag anywhere, just click and release, it gives error 23 at line 155.
Doesn't stop me from using the program though.
Looks good. _________________ -Sheep

Here is a screenshot of ColorCell2 2.0b. It will be released within
the next day or so.

Here is a bug report:
Every time I run ColorCell2, I get the usual "You have ten days to register" box, but then, after that, I get the message:
This program has been protected by the unregistered version of ASProtect Software Protection System
IT'S NOT LICENSED FOR DISTRIBUTION!
This message will not appear on programs protected by a registered version of ASProtect
with the title "UNREGISTERED VERSION". Then ColorCell2 Opens...
EDIT: This is only when I have one copy of ColorCell running and I open another. _________________ FreezingFire

Doh! I had to uninstall ASProtect because of trying to find
a conflict and I forgot to enter the registration key for it. That is
a big boo boo. That will be fixed soon. For now I'm going to
remove the DL until it is ready. Again, sorry _________________ Chris
