I have finalized my gadget dll and it is being beta tested right now. So hopefully it will not be long now before everyone will be able to use it.

Hi All,

Ok Another update for Gadget.dll but no promises this time.... I have managed to make VDS save what ever is on the screen to a bitmap file....That is a *.bmp file....even 32bpp bitmaps:) I am working on making Gadget change the format of the *.bmp's but I am having problems with converting bitmaps to 256 color grayscale.... If anyone knows of a routine in C/C++ that can do this and is small I will add it in.... Also I am adding *.ico support so we can stretch our Icons to any size we want.... BTW Gadget can display the Bitmap as a true Transparent Bitmap....Which means it does not rely on the background that you are painting it to.... Oh did I mention Translucent Dialogs even on Windows 95 Twisted Evil

Hi All,
Sorry about all the delays in the release of my Gadget.dll Sad

One of the undesireable parts of programming in C/C++ is the time it takes to produce a product. If this was just a program it would be done by now but because this is a DLL that has to interface with another language it takes time to get everything right. You see you code a little then you test it and you code a little more and your blue screen...Then you reboot and code a little more....C/C++ has a lot of abilities but one of its main ability is to be able to code something that does not work but yet the debugger and compilier will let you get away with it because they are not going to fix logic or IE Memory Leaks....For the past month that is what I have been fighting with is runing down memory leaks and patching them so my DLL doesn't sink Wink

Anyway enough with the excuses... The DLL will be out soon because I am not adding anything else to it....

Ok I have added so much stuff to my gadget dll now.... As soon as I get my webserver up and running I am going to be posting my gadget dll as freeware only for now so that everyone can see that yes it does work and maybe I can get some feedback on other things to add and maybe fix any problems before I start selling it.
Anyway I just wanted to give a report...

The year is 2025 and now Gadget is able to use a common house hold toaster to change the trajectory of the Earths Defense Satilites(ie...EDS)...As it protects the earth from Astroid desturction. More news at eleven!

Are you still planning to release this dll? You have so many people here interested in trying it out. Below is your qoute from May about releasing it for us to try out. Just wondering if it was still going to be released at all. I'm really interested in testing it out as I think most of us here are.
