|
|
Hello,
Just wanted to know why in VDS 4.5 when I use NOTITLE, and have WINDOW MINIMIZE command in my app it doesnt go to the task bar. It creates a little broken bar just above the start button of windows. It doesnt really look good. By not showing my app on the taskbar, it's a problem when you have multiple windows and myapp is behind all those windows. I can't anymore just click on the task bar name "myapp" do get it on top.
Im in Windows 2000
Is there anyway around this?
Thanks |

They added this feature on purpose. It can be a nice addition, but it would be nice to be able to turn it on or off. I don't think you can though. _________________ -Sheep

I normally don't minimize notitle windows. I use Window Hide and then put an icon in the system tray to allow the user to bring it back.

I fully understand Garrett that in some situation it could be pratical as you said. But I think it's important to have the option to set it on or off. Cause some users like to have their application show up in the task bar in order to bring it back on top when multiple windows are on the desktop. I think both ways are nice features and both options should be available.
Have a good day

Does anybody know if it is optional to show the taskbar icon for a dialog with the NOTITLE style in VDS 5? _________________ "ah, come take my hand... we're ridin' out tonight to face the promised land"

Garrett, didn't you once make a script to do this? _________________ FreezingFire

Yeah FF, I looked at it before I posted. I can certainly use the workaround. I just want to know if VDS 5 handles the style differently. _________________ "ah, come take my hand... we're ridin' out tonight to face the promised land"

I too think that it would be nice to turn it on or off. What is the reasoning
for the broken bar anyway? _________________ FreezingFire
