When I run the dialog designer it's VERY slow... it takes it 2 seconds to do everything (changing the position of a control by dragging it, etc)... And when I try resizing the window or a control the changes only apply like 4 seconds after I released the mouse button... sometimes. Why is this happening?

Maybe you don't have sufficient system resources? Smile

You could try disabling the grid, if VDS didn't already do this automatically on Windows XP.

The grid is disabled and I doubt I dont have enough resources... Besides, its only the dialog designer that works like this...

Another thing, when I use the D.D. the processor usage according to the task manager jumps to 100% and stays there until I close the D.D. And I could work with it in windows XP pro before (but not for a few months now).

I believe that when the mouse is over the dialog that is being designed the
processor usage returns to normal. Smile

This happens to me ALL THE TIME..
which i find that 2 DD's start up when i start DD .. dont know why

only fix i got for it to

CTRL+ALT+DEL
Click Processes Tab

Sort by CPU

find the DD thats using the most cpu (usually 70-99)

and End Process

the normal DD will stay open and it isn't slow anymore..
