| Nope VDSIPP uses standard FTP protocol which is inherantly insecure as it sends user/pass as plain text. |

Sorry but there will be no future updates to VDSIPP regarding SSL. |

I doubt if the Internet Suite from CR will ever support it either. SSL is very difficult. I note that Francois Piette, who developed a TCP/IP component suite for Delphi, was requesting large donations from users to fund the development of SSL versions of his components.
It might be worth taking a look at SafeTP (http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~smcpeak/SafeTP/). It appears to be a kind of proxy that turns ordinary insecure FTP clients and servers into secure ones. I've never tried it, so I have no idea how easy it is to get going, or whether it will do what you want. _________________ The Tech Pro

don't worry PGWARE, VDSIPP is a very good work
SSL is not very important because there is somes possibility to be a little more secure.
I'm programming a CLIENT/SERVER that crypt/decrypt. requests by encrypting with ip adress/time server. It's not 100% secure but sufficient for what i want to do.
Thanks for all
P.S: i will look jules, thanks. |
