Hi,
Being a Newbi with VDS and low skill level please bare with me with my questions on making somework in VDS. With that said here is my question. I have created three VDS programs now. I have compiled them into three different exe's, Xform1.exe, Xform2.exe and Xform3.exe. Basically they are just simple fill in form pages with lists and edits. I would like the customer to be able to access each vds exe program or form page.
I was going to place button controls xform1, xform2 and xform3 on each vds dialog screen so they could just click and go to the next form which would close one exe and open the next exe...etc. But this will open and close these exe's a lot and Windows OS might just sooner or later say the heck with me and give me an error.
Is there a better play to have all three forms accessable to the customer. I was thinking about creating two child dialogs in the main dialog. But it seems way to complicated for a newbi like me who really struggle with just creating these three simple form programs in VDS?
Thanks to anyone who is able to give a newbi like myself some help. |

Just a thought...
Have you considered just using a single dialog with a tab element and have each forms on a different tab? |

Hi Aslan,
Even if I use TABS I still am opening up and closing three different vds exe's files right?
Thanks

| You can use a single EXE with a tab element on it and setup each tab as a separate form. |

I did not realize you could do that with the TABS. Thanks Aslan for the insight. I think I will try it as you have suggested. I am still just learning VDS but now I know a little bit more thanks to you.
Thanks
