Brandon, this started to look like the best potential 'successor' of VDS in years, even though the actual syntax still seems to be a bit harder to learn than DialogScript. I sincerely hope you'll still be able to make it into a real product so that you could rescue VDS.
I added links to your product & source code on the Links page of VDSWORLD:
http://www.vdsworld.com/links.php
In the meanwhile I also checked all the other links in there and have updated them (some of them through the Wayback Machine).
By the way, your website looks much more modern than VDSWORLD itself on the moment. I think it would be useful if the main navigation would be simplified with some basic big "link blocks"/tiles on VDSWORLD too. The same could apply to this forum, 3 or 4 subforums/categories would probably suffice. |

Hello. There would be no way to recover or buy VDS sources? It's really a program I miss. I started programming with it and I often come back to him to code... |

Greg, I'm afraid you are 'closer' to the source codes than me, while you are in France. I'm still not sure if there happens to be any way to contact the current owners of Visual DialogScript. It should be checked which companies still exist in 'Chambres of Commerce'/'Chambre de commerce' in the UK and/or France. And perhaps it would be useful to check if Emmanual Daunizeau still belongs to any of them, rather than 'Jacques Janssens'.
I would be willing to try, but only starting from next year. I would not be willing to pay actual money for the source code though, I would only be willing to invest a little time in revamping and contributing to the source code, version control/management, websites, community and shops. For this to happen, there should in my opinion be a sign of life or meeting with Emmanuel Daunizeau. |

When I get back from vacation I'll see if I can contact these people. I would not be worried about investing in this software.
Thank you Tommy for these informations. |

Tommy
do you have an email address to contact Emmanuel?
I tried it through his website v-softs.com but I'm not sure if the message is coming to him.
Thanks |

Its been at least 4 years since I last spoke with Emmanuel. I hope he is doing well.
Someone is maintaining the dialogscript.com website - the SSL certificate was just renewed last month for another year and also installed. Usually not an automated process.
Trying to make VDS commercially viable may not be possible without a lot of effort and then you will be competing with languages like c#, and other popular languages that are just as easy to learn.
I don't have much free time nowadays but would be willing to help as much as I can to help resurrect the project. |

Thanks to GregLand, I saw than Brandon, Tommy and you Prakash are still alive!
I think GregLand will give you some fresh news from our messenger chat. But in any case, check the website in 2 or 3 weeks.
Yes Prakash you're right, things aren't simply automated: I re-wrote the website to be responsive and I'm actually fixing some things into the new build of VDS and V-Setup which are now fully Windows 10 compatible.
Cordially all. _________________ Official member of Commercial Research Ltd. support
