|
|
Hi,
since the new vds5 update I have problems with some of my apps (not all).
After closing the app it still remains in memory (its in the processlist) for arround 20 seconds. On other OS-Versions (mostly on Win98 and 2000) it gives an error (something like an exeption on memory address ....)
Before the update all worked fine.
Does somebody have such problems too ? |

Try recompiling your app with the new version (including DSUs if you used any). It did solve a simliar problem for me. _________________ Regards

Hi CodeScript,
thanks for your answer - but this seems not to help.
I think I found the problem.
If I rem the vdsxshow.dll the app does not remain in memory anymore.
I will test if the error message on other system disappears too.
Bye, Fabian |

| I tested it out - it is the vdsxshow.dll - without using it all works fine on all systems |

I don't think the vdsxshow.dll is updated to function proper with VDS 5. You might contact the creater of the extension (Marty if I'm right) and ask him for more details... |

I think he's updated them, and selling them again, however he is verifying
that buyers are registered users of VDS. _________________ FreezingFire

VDSXSHOW was not updated for VDS 5 and won't be, sorry. It has been removed from my site and from VDSWORLD. I don't support it or distribute it anymore.
All the VDSXSHOW functionnalities/commands are included in VDSMEDIA 2.1 which is VDS 5 compatible.
Sorry about that. |

After thinking about it, I will update VDSXSHOW to support VDS 5, but it won't be freeware anymore. The reason for this is the time taken to update the DLL, do a new help doc, debug and test.
Don't know when it will be ready. Other things on my hands lately.
Thanks. |

Nice. I'm sure people will buy it (as long as you promote it enough ) _________________ FreezingFire
